Like the original Camera Link version the AD-080GE camera simultaneously captures visible and near-infrared light spectrums through a single lens using two channels.
Following its preview at the Vision Show in Stuttgart in November, JAI has now officially launched the AD-080GE color/near-infrared multi-spectral camera with a GigE Vision digital interface.
Like the original Camera Link version the AD-080GE camera simultaneously captures visible and near-infrared light spectrums through a single lens using two channels. The first channel has a Bayer mosaic color CCD that captures visible light, while the second channel has a monochrome CCD for capturing NIR light.
JAI’s precision manufacturing process ensures the two sensors are aligned to within ¼ pixel, enabling simultaneous above- and below-surface inspection of fruit and vegetables, blister packs or other plastic film containers, banknotes, passports, tickets or other printed materials, electronic circuit boards, textiles, and many other items – all from a single inspection station.
The technology is also applicable to a variety of scientific or surveillance applications where the presence or absence of specific visible and near-IR information is required for identification or substance detection.
Key product specifications include:
• 1/3” progressive scan IT CCDs with 1024 (h) x 768 (v) active pixels
• 24-bit or 30-bit RGB output or Raw Bayer 8-bit or 10-bit output for visible spectrum
• 8-, 10- or 12-bit output for near-IR spectrum
• 30 frames/second with full resolution
• Variable partial scanning
• Edge pre-select, pulse width control and reset continuous trigger modes
• Sequence trigger mode for on-the–fly change of gain, exposure and ROI
• Built-in blemish compensation & shading correction
• LUT (Look Up Table) for gamma correction
